I get called up to the hospital to attempt a ‘difficult IV’. I put the tourniquette on and the patient says “good luck with that” I ask “are you a tough stick”? She replies “oh yes, I’ve been diagnosed with ROTATRY veins”….dumbass believed that was a real medical affliction!
