Had a 24 y/o male pt come to the ER via EMS during an ice storm complaining of pain in his eye. The only problem is this pain had been going on for the past 5 years! I asked him what was different today that he had to come by ambulance in an ice storm he said, “Nothing. It’s just that a friend said I’d better get it checked out.”
